You might have heard of it before, but might not be sure what it is or what is involved. As a fleet or workshop manager your days are busy enough without having to research government schemes, so let us outline what it means and how we can help you to benefit from increased efficiency and profits.

What is it?

DVSA earned recognition for vehicle operators is a new way to prove your organisation meets driver and vehicle standards. Participants regularly share performance information with the DVSA and in return, their vehicles are less likely to be stopped for inspections.

How does it all work?

Our Accelerator system will track a set list of KPIs for you, without you having to do anything outside of entering your jobs into the system as you normally would.

Reports are automatically submitted to the DVSA via Accelerator every 4 weeks, this will inform if you’ve missed any of the KPIs by a set amount. If this occurs, DVSA will work with you to fix the issue. NOTE: The DVSA do not have direct access to your data.

Joining DVSA Earned Recognition

If you wish to join the Earned Recognition scheme, you must be using a digital compliance system like Accelerator. You will not be able to join the Earned Recognition scheme if you are still using paper – Not to worry as Accelerator can have you up and running in no time.

Despite ITTHub being postponed until 2021, Accelerator is running a ‘virtual stand’ over the next two days, sharing live product demonstrations, upcoming developments and news with you.

The virtual stand is open for business!

Today (Wednesday 13 May) the inaugural Innovation and Technology in Transport (ITT) Hub exhibition and conference was due to open at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Due to COVID-19 the show – highlighting forward thinking innovation and technology for road based transport – has been postponed to 12-13 May 2021.

Accelerator provides innovative and forward-thinking fleet and workshop management software to the road transport industry, and would have been at the ITT Hub showcasing the latest developments of its award winning ‘Accelerator’ software.

Not to be thwarted, instead today and tomorrow (Wednesday/Thursday – the days the show was due to happen) it is running its own ‘Virtual ITT Hub’ in the form of an interactive online stand – offering online demonstrations, ‘on-stand’ chat facilities and a chance for existing Accelerator customers to benefit from some free ‘show offer’ training.

MD Victoria Baker says: “This is our second ‘virtual show’ and comes hot on the heels of the great feedback and interaction we created when we recently ran our own virtual CV show.

“That gave us the opportunity to have conversations with potential new customers as well as ensure existing customers are maximising the use of Accelerator.

Rebuilding Old Glassworks for Technopoly

Technopoly is taking the opportunity during lockdown to rearrange its Southern offices at Mor Workspace.

This involves opening up the wall between the main office and the rear office rooms.

The first stage was to remove around 15 heavy bookcases that were already installed as a wall and then to remove the rear boarding to expose the framework.

Next, we will be taking quotes to design and fit a new glass wall and sliding doors to open up this area so it can be used as a training area/meeting room/video suite and temporary exhibition area.

So it’s a great opportunity to make this new space as versatile and useful as possible.

All of the team are excited to get this project underway and to escaping lockdown as soon as practically possible and to return to this new office, which was only occupied by us for five days before the lockdown.

As soon as we can we will be inviting our customers to visit us and see for themselves our new place and perhaps take advantage of some training or just the opportunity to meet the team to discuss any new requirements or developments. Everyone will be most welcome.
